I’m Aravind, a Data Scientist by profession. I studied AI at Indian Institute of Science, and currently working at Microsoft. My core interests at the moment are search, recommendation systems, and natural language processing, although I’m broadly interested in other domains of AI as well.

Mastercard Jun 2021 - Jul 2021

Data Scientist Intern Gurgaon, India

• Interned with the AI Garage team at Mastercard, which focuses on designing AI-based solutions for use-cases in the payments industry.
• Majority of my time as an intern was devoted to building models for predicting high-value transactions, and predicting the time and type of next transaction for a user.
• Also modeled financial transactions as Marked Temporal Point Processes, modeled their probability distributions, and used it to predict the time and category of future transactions.
